Land Back to the Future 2026, short documentary, 22:39Since time immemorial,
the wetlands surrounding the Wakarusa River have had a reciprocal
relationship with Indigenous peoples. Today, Courtney King, and other
scientists at Haskell Indian Nations University are working to maintain
that relationship in spite of continual efforts to turn the wetlands
into commercial real estate. Although the task is arduous, they walk to
the future in the footsteps of students, faculty staff and Native
American people that came before them.
